Design · Supply · Install — industrial storage systems, delivered on schedule

Home / About Us

An integrator today. A manufacturer tomorrow.

VS Racking Solutions was built to solve a specific problem: warehouse operators need the right storage system quickly, and too often they are offered whatever a single factory happens to make. We work the other way round — the operation defines the specification, and we go and get it built.

Our business model

Light-asset by design, not by default

We design, source, supply and install industrial racking without owning a production line. That is a deliberate choice, and it is the reason we can move as quickly as we do.

A manufacturer sells what its tooling produces. An integrator specifies what the site needs and then finds the best route to build it. Because we are not carrying the fixed cost or the fixed catalogue of a factory, we can match each project to the partner best placed to deliver it — on specification, on price and on programme.

The engineering, the project management and the accountability stay with us. Only the fabrication is distributed — and it is distributed across partners we have audited and continue to monitor.

In practice

What stays in-house

  • Site survey, measurement and operational brief
  • Layout design, capacity modelling and load specification
  • Partner selection, quality criteria and factory audit
  • Order placement, expediting and delivery scheduling
  • Installation supervision, inspection and handover
  • After-sales support and reconfiguration work
Why it works in your favour

Four advantages of an integrator-led approach

The same qualities that make us agile are the ones that protect your project.

01

Specification without bias

We have no factory to keep busy and no slow-moving stock to clear, so the system we recommend is the one that suits your pallets, aisles and throughput. If a simpler and cheaper configuration does the job, that is what appears in the quote.

02

Competitive on cost and lead time

Multiple sourcing routes mean we can price a project against several partners and route it to whoever can meet your delivery date. You are not waiting behind one factory's production queue or absorbing one factory's overheads.

03

Genuine customisation

Awkward loads, low headroom, existing structures, unusual pallet sizes — these are the projects where a fixed catalogue struggles. Because we specify first and source second, non-standard work is normal for us rather than an exception.

04

One team accountable

Splitting design, supply and installation across three suppliers is how projects slip. We hold all three. If something needs resolving on site, there is one number to call and no argument about whose scope it was.

To be clear about how we operate: fabrication is carried out by partner facilities we select and audit. We take full responsibility for the specification, the quality criteria applied, the installation and the handover documentation — the same responsibility a manufacturer would carry.
Where we are heading

Our manufacturing roadmap

The integrator model is how we operate today and how we intend to keep serving complex, one-off requirements. In parallel, we are building toward in-house manufacturing of our highest-volume components.

The aim is not to replace the model but to strengthen it: bringing standard, repeat-volume production in-house shortens lead times on the most common systems, while the partner network continues to cover specialist and non-standard work. Clients keep the flexibility, and gain tighter control over the lines they order most.

  1. Phase 1 · Today

    Design, source and install

Full integrator service across pallet racking, shelving, mezzanines and custom systems, delivered through an audited partner network.

  2. Phase 2 · Underway

    Deepening the partner network

Expanding audited capacity across more component types and regions, so lead times shorten and sourcing options widen for every enquiry.

  3. Phase 3 · Planned

    In-house manufacturing

A dedicated facility for high-volume standard components — uprights, beams and shelf panels — bringing the most-ordered lines under direct control.

  4. Phase 4 · Longer term

    Hybrid supply

Standard systems produced in-house for speed and cost; specialist and custom work still routed through partners for flexibility. The best of both.

How we work

The standards we hold ourselves to

Storage equipment carries load above people. That shapes how we quote, build and hand over.

Safety is not an upgrade

Load capacities are calculated, not estimated. Load notices, anchoring and inspection guidance are part of every handover, never an optional extra.

Dates that hold

We quote programmes we can meet and tell you early if something moves. Installations are sequenced around your operation, including out-of-hours where needed.

Quotes you can read

Itemised pricing, a layout drawing and a capacity summary — enough detail to compare our proposal against anyone else's line by line.
